At some point, you may need to have “the talk” with your aging parent. This is not “the talk” they had with you about the birds and the bees. This is the conversation about moving to an assisted living facility. It is uncomfortable and not easy.
Caregivers: Keep your paperwork updated and make sure that if you are caring for someone, their paperwork is current. My mom’s paperwork was expired, and I have been working for months to get her current identification. I was lucky and found someone to help me out.
